因為時光限制，英語消息體裁在語法方面的一個主要特色是句型的高度擴大，且構造嚴謹，將豐盛的信息緊縮在無限的篇幅中。罕見的方式有應用同位語、分詞短語等說話成分擴大簡略句。
1)同位語
在英語消息中，句子不只要簡練精練，並且還要盡能夠多地傳遞信息，因此不成防止地大批應用同位語。特殊是交接人物成分、個人工作、年紀的詞教學場地語，交接組織機構的地址、性質的詞語，以小樹屋及交接城市的地位、遠近、特色的詞語凡是都用同位語來表現。如：
